Medical Weight Loss in Littleton and Arvada

Altitude Family & Internal Medicine offers an insurance-covered, physician-directed medical weight loss program at both our Littleton and Arvada offices. Unlike a commercial diet plan, medical weight loss starts with your full health picture: your metabolism, hormones, lab results, medications, and medical history. Your plan is built around you, supervised by a physician, and designed to help you keep the weight off.

The Program

Phase 1 is the first 12 weeks, an intensive, physician-directed experience. Over these 12 weeks our average client sees a weight loss of 12% of total body weight and a 25% loss of body fat, while building lean mass and developing healthy habits that last. Your care team adjusts the plan as you progress, including prescription medications such as GLP-1 therapies when they are appropriate for you.

The 7-Step Process

Your provider individually customizes the program using a clinically proven 7-step process:

  1. A personalized consultation
  2. Basal metabolic rate (BMR) testing
  3. Laboratory testing for contributing medical conditions
  4. Hormonal evaluation
  5. Nutritional evaluation
  6. Customized lifestyle intervention with diet and exercise coaching
  7. Rigorous follow-up and re-evaluation

The Benefits

Benefits patients frequently see include:

  • Significant weight loss
  • Improved body composition
  • Improved mood and energy
  • Better control of medical conditions such as blood pressure, blood sugar, and cholesterol
  • A need for fewer medications
  • Healthy habits that last

Maintenance

Your program is designed to help you reach your goals and give you the tools to keep them. After the first 12 weeks, your team helps you move into a maintenance plan with continued check-ins, so the results last.
