He earned his medical degree with honors from the University of Illinois College of Medicine, completed his residency at St. Anthony Hospital in Denver, and holds an MBA, equipping him with a unique perspective on the intersection of medicine and healthcare management. As the only physician in the world recognized as triple board-certified in Primary Care Medicine, Clinical Lipidology, and Nutrition, Dr. Hansen has dedicated his career to redefining patient care and longevity-focused medicine.
After experiencing a near-fatal accident that profoundly reshaped his perspective, Dr. Hansen committed himself to living and practicing medicine with purpose. This life-altering event led him to establish Altitude Family & Internal Medicine, as well as Ascend Wellness, Longevity, and Performance Medicine, and Thrivetality Nutriscience, integrating cutting-edge science with a deeply personalized approach to healthcare.

Outside of medicine, he finds joy in the outdoors, whether hiking Colorado’s mountains with his wife, Shara, catching waves in Costa Rica with his oldest daughter, Kaiyah, shooting hoops in the driveway with his youngest daughter, Kinley, or running with his dog, Kody, still chasing the speed of his days as a nationally ranked runner.
